Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has partnered with Lake Victoria North Water Services Board in the development of a major water supply project in Bungoma County at a cost of USD 5.0 Million.
Residents of Kiminini Kona Community have a reason to smile after the groundbreaking of the long awaited Kiminini Kona Community Water Project. The groundbreaking for the project was presided over by Bungoma County Women Representative, Dr. Reginalda Wanyonyi in Lukhuna in the presence of a Director of Lake Victoria North Water Services Board, Ms Lorna Kimaiga and Chief Executive Officer Dr. George Kwedho among a host of local leaders on the 6th June 2015.
Rehabilitation and augmentation works are currently underway for the Chesikaki – Cheptais – Sirisia Water Supply scheme. The rehabilitation works is being undertaken by the Lake Victoria North Water Services Board at cost of over Kenya Shillings 100 million with joint funding from the Government of the Republic of Kenya in collaboration with Italian Government under the Kenya Italy for Development Programme (KIDDP).
Lake Victoria North Water Services Board has earmarked the Moi’s Bridge –Matunda Water Supply System for major rehabilitation estimated to cost over Six Million Kenya Shillings with funding from the Government of the Republic of Kenya.
